Muscat: The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) on Tuesday organszed a ceremony at Al Murtafa’a Campto honour winners of the 2025 Science Club competitions.
The ceremony was held under the auspices of Maj. Gen Mattar bin Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO).
At the outset of the ceremony, the chief guest listened to a briefing about the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Division and the Science Club. This was followed by a presentation about the objectives of the Science Club competitions and the innovative projects presented by the participants therein.
Then, the chief guest handed over awards to the top winners and felicitated outstanding members of the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Division.
On the sidelines of the event, an exhibition featuring projects, innovations, equipment and devices was held.
Maj. Gen Mattar bin Salim Al Balushi valued the contestants’ scientific inventions and innovations which, he said, would contribute to maintaining the scientific and technical standards of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and other military and security services.
The ceremony was attended by senior officers from the SAF and military and security services, retired senior officers, specialists from educational institutions and civil institutions and personnel of the RAO Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Division.
