NBC event highlights local entrepreneurship experience

Muscat: The National Business Centre, which pertains to the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), on Wednesday organised a Reyooq event entitled "Secrets of Coffee", which highlighted the entrepreneurship journey of two local business owners. The event, which was held at Basta Majan Café, featured Khalid Al Abri, founder of Ostool Al Bon, and Fahd Al Saqri, founder of Basta Majan.
Al Abri explained that he entered the business world back in 2010 when he initiated an advertising company at the National Business Centre. “Despite facing several challenges, I did not give up to be part of the entrepreneurship world. I decided to establish Ostool Al Bon following an analysis that was done on the current needs of the local market,” Al Abri said, adding: “The project currently makes a variety of coffee types prepared using precise standards and special tools.”
On his part, Al Saqri stated that the project of Basta Majan came to life after previous experience in the food sector. “Basta Majan offers a variety of coffee types with an Omani touch. In addition to coffee, visitors can also enjoy cold drinks. Besides, the project also offers meeting rooms for workspaces, reading areas and discussion sessions,” Al Saqri added.
It should be noted that this event is the second Reyooq session held this year. This year, NBC aims at holding four sessions of Reyooq, highlighting four varied significant sectors. It is worth mentioning that the NBC is an initiative launched by the PEIE at the Knowledge Oasis Muscat to offer promising Omani entrepreneurs a platform to develop their business ideas and advance them into growing ventures. The centre provides a premier platform for Omani entrepreneurs by offering business development support and guidance, training and mentoring, access to markets and industry experts, and state-of-the-art and fully equipped office spaces, meeting rooms and presentation facilities.
