Muscat: Rains and occasional thunderstorms are expected over Al Hajar Mountains and surrounding areas and coastal areas of Oman, the Oman Meteorology said on Monday.
Oman Meteorology said: "Clear to partly cloudy skies over most of the Sultanate with chances of isolated rain is expected. Chance of convective clouds development and rain occasionally thunderstorms over Al Hajar Mountains and surroundings areas extended to coastal areas of Oman sea towards afternoon and evening is expected. There are also chances of dust rising winds due to fresh winds."
The expected maximum and minimum temperature will be 34 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees in Muscat Governorate, 33 degrees and 24 degrees in the wilayat of Sohar and 38 degrees and 25 degrees in the wilayat of Ibri, 37 degrees and 24 degrees in the wilayat of Nizwa and 38 degrees and 25 degrees in the wilayat of Rustaq. Dust rising winds and thunderstorm warnings have been issued.
