Covid-19: Do not participate in gatherings, Supreme Committee urges people

Muscat: The Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19 has urged people to not  participate in gatherings especially weddings and mourning.

A statement issued online by the Government Communication Center (GC), said: "The Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19 stresses the prohibition on holding gatherings of any kind and asks people not to participate in them, especially weddings and mourning due to the severe risk of spreading infection."

"The concerned authorities will take all legal measures to arrest the violators,” the statement added.
