Muscat: Dar Al Atta’a Association has donated 50 breathing apparatuses to SQU University Hospital and the Royal Hospital. Both the hospitals have been given 25 apparatuses each.
Dar Al Atta’a has also supported the national vaccination campaign in the Wilayat of Barka with a total of OMR13, 000 within the healthcare to COVID-19 patients and for further cementing joint cooperation between the public sector and civil society associations in terms of sustainable development, mainly in the field of healthcare in the Sultanate.
The initiative taken by Dar Al Atta’a aimed to support the necessary health needs and to contribute to lessen the number of infected persons and death cases associated with COVID-19 pandemic.
Dar Al Atta’a also aimed to enhance awareness on the significance of solidarity and cooperation on provision of necessary health requirements, for instance the breathing apparatuses to SQU Hospital and the Royal Hospital.
Within the preparations for the COVID-19 vaccination campaign targeting those aged 18 years and above in the Wilayat of Barka, scheduled at Al Numan Palace Hall, Dar Al Atta’a provided medical supplies to contribute to the success of the campaign.
The support for the campaign aimed to strengthen the principles of partnership and cooperation between the government sector and the entities supportive to the efforts accorded to development and society service.
Dr Shamsa bint Hamad Al Harthi, Director General of Atta’a said that this initiative represented a starting point for further joint cooperation between the Association and the hospitals.
It also aimed to further enhance the quality of healthcare services at the hospitals, she added, expressing her thanks to all who contributed and donated for provision of such apparatuses and supplies.
