Muscat: Muscat and Dhofar municipalities have supplied heavy equipment in weather affected areas to support the efforts of restoring roads, in coordination and support from other governorate municipalities and Oman ministries.
The basic services sector activated the support and backstop plan, as the Muscat Municipality and the Dhofar Municipality supply the affected areas with heavy equipment to support the efforts of restoring roads, in coordination with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and the governorate municipalities of the Ministry of Interior, and with support from the Royal Armed Forces and engineering services at the Ministry of Defense.
In addition, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology published a list of companies that took the initiative to contribute to the efforts to rebuild the affected area, and said: “The ministry extends its deep thanks and gratitude to its partners, contractors and private sector contributors, for their initiatives, quick response, and their continuous efforts to support the national cause.
In implementation of His Majesty the Sultan’s directives to speed up the repair of the infrastructure damaged as a result of the tropical situation that the Sultanate has been exposed to, the Ministerial Committee has announced the assessment of the damage caused by the tropical situation to the homes of citizens and their various properties in the governorates.
The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology assigned Galfar Engineering and Contracting to repair the damages caused to Al Batinah highway, starting from the state of Musanah to the state of Saham.
