Muscat: Students, as well as principals of Indian schools in Oman, are likely to benefit from the annual principal conference that helps schools share their views and ideas. The 28th edition of the conference will be held at the Hormuz Grand Hotel, Seeb from January 20 to 23.
According to M P Vinoba, principal of Indian School Ibri, the conference helps principals gain more ideas and deeper insight into the CBSE’s initiatives.
“It (conference) helps us to share and exchange ideas and expertise among the Indian schools in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) and it helps us in future,” Vinoba said.
He is also the convener of the Oman Chapter of CBSE Schools and will be speaking on the sidelines of a press conference that will announce the Annual Principal Conference. The four-day conference, themed “Beyond the Horizon” will be attended by more than 100 principals from the GCC, and will have a series of sessions involving eminent speakers, who have a vast experience in various fields of education. They will deal with topics, such as “Leading a value based organization,” “School administrator or School CEO,” “Excellence in Education” etc. during the conference.
“We also want to showcase the hospitality of Oman and the unity of the Oman chapter for the guests,” the convener said.
According to other principals, who gathered at the press conference, the annual meet would help them learn a lot and become acquainted with the best practices followed by other chapters that they too can adopt.
They also said the conference would act as a good platform to share their thoughts and views.
Dr. Madiha Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education, will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony on January 20 and the guest of honour will be Indra Mani Pandey, Indian ambassador to the Sultanate.
