ROP seizes over 23,000 fake cigarettes in Oman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has raided several sites in Muscat and North Al Batinah Governorates and seized more than 23,000 fake cigarettes.

Oman Customs said in a statement: "The Investigation and Risk Assessment Department raided a number of sites in the governorates of Muscat and North Al Batinah and seized more than 23,000 fake cigarettes. These sites were run by a group of expatriate workers who stored and sold fake cigarettes and tobacco derivatives,"
