One arrested for illegal logging in Oman

Muscat: The Environment Authority (EA) has arrested a citizen who was carrying out logging without a permit in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate.

"The Environment Department in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate arrested a person who carried out logging without obtaining a permit. The legal measures were taken against him and the seized quantity was confiscated," Environment Authority said in a statement.

 The authority calls upon everyone to adhere to and abide by environmental laws.
