HH Sayyid Theyazin to patronise Royal Cavalry annual race

Assigned by His Majesty The Sultan, His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said will patronise on Thursday, January 26,2023, over the Royal Cavalry's annual horse race, which will be held in the Wilayat of Al Buraimi. The annual horse race for the Royal Cavalry will be held this year in the Wilayat of Buraimi, organised by the Royal Court Affairs represented by the Royal Cavalry. The race will include five rounds for purebred Arabian horses. The fifth round will be the most prominent, where the knights will compete for the honour of being crowned with the Cup of His Majesty the Sultan. The race includes display of equestrian skills, in addition to presentations of musical compositions.

Muscat bound flight makes emergency landing in India

An Air India Express flight from Trivandrum (India) to Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, returned shortly after take-off due to a technical glitch in its flight management system on Monday morning, January 23, 2023. Officials said an Air India Express flight with 105 passengers onboard from Trivandrum to Muscat, landed back at the Trivandrum Airport due to a technical issue in the FMS (flight management system). “The flight took off from Trivandrum at 8.30 am and landed back at 9.17 am,” an official said.
