The cool spell of weather may be over for a brief period with the daytime temperatures likely to climb and enter mid-30s in some parts of Oman this week.
An official from the Oman Meteorology confirmed to Times of Oman that most of the wilayats will witness a noticeable rise in temperatures from 7 February due to the southeasterly winds coming from the tropics and subtropics which are relatively warm. He also added that on February 9-10 the Sultanate’s atmosphere will be affected by a low tropical trough due to the northwesterly winds, which will again bring down the temperatures. The official, however, said the temperature will start dropping from February 9 or 10, after which the normal temperatures will return to the wilayats of the Sultanate of Oman.
