Was the devastating earthquake warning actually given three days in advance?

Muscat: A Dutch researcher has set the internet on fire by predicting three days in advance, the earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on Monday and claimed thousands of lives.

On February 3, Frank Hoogerbeets, predicted through his Twitter account: “Sooner or later there will be a ~M 7.5 earthquake in this region (South-Central Turkey, Jordan, Syria-Lebanon.)”

His post went viral globally once the earthquake struck in real life, killing and injuring thousands.

According to Hoogerbeets, “Earthquakes are affected by planetary alignments."

His organisation claims to work on monitoring geometry between celestial bodies related to seismic activity.

But netizens remained divided over his theory as many said his hypothesis was not backed by enough scientific evidence.
