No cheetah on the prowl in Muscat!

Muscat: It was a scary sight to say the least! A cheetah on the loose on the roads of Muscat. Well, a viral clip on Monday had people calling up Times of Oman newspaper office to alert us that a cheetah is running on Muttrah Corniche road. Some called up to say that they saw a clip that had the four-legged big cat in front of the Royal Opera House Muscat.

A quick research allayed all the fears as there was no cheetah on the prowl. Actually, it was an advertising campaign. Times of Oman spoke to the content designer Abdulaziz Al Abri, who said: “This was a clip designed for a promotional campaign for a company in the Sultanate of Oman to promote a new electronic service, symbolizing speed. The role of the cheetah was to underline the high speed of the service being offered by the client.”

Al Abri, the creator of the clip, added: “The project took nearly a month and a half to complete with the shoot and cinematic effects, integrating the role of cheetah into the video.”
