Vocational College BG develops innovative and eco-friendly glass

Muscat: Saham based Vocational College "BG" develops an innovative product that can transform ordinary glass into flexible glass. The developed glass will also be heat and pressure resistant and eco friendly. 

“The importance of the innovative product is to reduce the proportion of harmful polyethylene plastic and to protect people from the damages of ordinary glass. In addition to providing a product at the lowest prices and with high quality", said Anfal bint Hussain Al-Nofali, Deputy CEO of the company.

She explained that the idea of the product came with the aim of creating an environment-friendly and sustainable glass. Ordinary glass that is currently available in the market does not withstand high pressure and temperatures and is also breakable and can cause great damage.

The company aspires for this innovation to be supported financially and to be provided a production site, she added. She also expressed the hope that this product will be accepted widely in the global markets.
