ABC's Saba calls on OOC's Taha Al Kishry

Muscat: Taha bin Sulaiman Al Kishry, Secretary General of Oman Olympic Committee (OOC), received at his office Majesh Saba, Chairman of Development Committee of the Asian Basketball Confederation (ABC), who was accompanied by Asaad bin Mubarak Al Hassani, general secretary of Oman Basketball Association and Younes bin Khamis Al Zadjali, board member of Oman Basketball Association.
Proposals and means aimed at developing and promoting basketball and the programmes put in place for the benefit of players, technicians and stakeholders were discussed during the meeting.
OOC Secretary General was briefed on the miscellaneous programmes of the Asian Basketball Confederation to develop and promote the game in the Asian Continent.
The visit comes in the context of further strengthening national associations in Asia and is aimed at reviewing the current status of the game and putting in place programmes in conjunction with the national associations.
Saba also met number of officials at the Ministry of Sports Affairs and Oman Basketball Association and toured playgrounds and sports halls available for basketball.
