Man arrested for impersonating ROP

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested a person on charges of impersonating the police and theft.

A statement issued online by ROP said that the South Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested a person on charges of impersonating policemen and coercing a person to give him money.

“The accused stopped the victim and asked for his documents, claiming that he was a policeman and stole the cash in the victim's possession. The legal procedures against the accused are being completed,” the statement added.
