Davos: Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah and US Secretary of State John Kerry signed on Friday an agreement on cooperation in the field of transfer of science and technology.
During the meeting, the leaders reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of their enhancement.
They exchanged their views on a number of issues of common concern and the developments at the regional and international levels.
The agreement aims to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries and the support of international efforts in scientific and technology fields.
The agreement covers cooperation between the two countries in a number of fields, including exchange of visits of scientists and researchers and training of the personnel concerned with development of science and technology, organising of joint workshops and seminars and execution of projects in the field of development of science and technology.
The agreement also enhances economic cooperation between the two countries through advanced applications of technology among other mechanisms
