Funeral held for former Emir of Kuwait

Muscat: The Emir of the State of Kuwait performed the funeral prayer for His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the late Emir of the State of Kuwait on Sunday December 17, 2023.

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, performed the funeral prayer for the late His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the late Emir of the State of Kuwait, at Bilal Bin Rabah Mosque in Al-Siddiq area.
The funeral prayer was also performed by Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, senior sheikhs and senior state officials.

The Amiri Diwan in the State of Kuwait announced on Saturday, December 16,2023 the death of His Highness Sheikh ⁧‫Nawaf‬⁩ Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait at the age of 86 years.

Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah became the emir of Kuwait on September 30, 2020, following the death of Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
