Muscat: Twenty-sixth edition of Oman’s prestigious IT, Telecom & Technology Exhibition & Conference — COMEX 2016 — will kick off at the Oman International Exhibition Centre on April 12.
The five-day event is being organised by the Oman International Trade and Exhibitions (OITE).
The event will include a pavilion for broadband and optic fibre connection companies to discuss strategies to develop the IT and telecom infrastructure in Oman.
It will also include a platform for business sector and will witness trade meetings between customers, government sectors and exhibitors.
COMEX 2016 will invite prominent personalities from the government and private sector and industry experts.
The COMEX seminars will provide many opportunities for the sponsors and exhibitors to give presentations on their products, services and relevant solutions.
Tariq Ali, General Manager of the OITE Exhibitions, said the last edition of the event, by attracting over 120,000 participants during this 5-day event, proved again that the ICT sector has a lot of potential.
Such a large number of visitors set the highest ever record in 25 years’ history of the show.
He pointed out that the ICT sector is growing at a steady pace and a lot of cooperation is going on between the public and private sector.
In a statement to the ONA, he added that COMEX will present solutions aimed at reducing costs and maximising productivity of the companies operating in transport, education, wholesale, oil and gas sector related infrastructure.
It is expected that the United Arab Emirates (UAE), India and the United States of America (USA) will take part in COMEX 2016.
