Tourism Ministry urges travellers to avoid Wadi Shab due to high water level

Muscat: Due to the rising water levels, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism issues a warning not to organise trips or visits to Wadi Al Shab in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate.

MHT said in a statement: “The Ministry would like to alert individuals and institutions not to organise trips or visits to Wadi Al Shab in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate until October 31, 2024.”

"This is due to the high water level and the damage to parts of the valley due to the tropical situation “Al Sayyal”,” the ministry explained.
