Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and the Federal Republic of Somalia explored means of enhancing cooperation in the field of livestock.
This came when Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources received in his office Hassan Hussein Mohamed, Minister of Livestock, Forestry and Range of Somalia, who is currently visiting the Sultanate of Oman.
The meeting covered a spectrum of topics, namely exchanging expertise and information in the fields of food security and food safety, as well as exploring means of boosting investments and trade exchange.
On the sidelines of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in the field of livestock and related activities. It also pertains to enhancing cooperation in importing and exporting livestock between the two countries.
