MCBS Expands Global Partnerships with GITA and Caucasus University

Muscat: The Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) has signed a milestone Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) and Caucasus University, strengthening its dedication to global collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship. This agreement highlights MCBS’s commitment to fostering sustainable and impactful international partnerships.

The MoU with GITA, a key agency under Georgia’s Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, aims to promote joint initiatives in advancing the startup ecosystem and driving technological and innovative progress. This collaboration aligns with MCBS’s Innovation X initiative to support students and faculty in entrepreneurial ventures and innovative research projects.

The MCBS delegation, led by Dean Dr Moosa Al-Kindi and Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Amjed Sid Ahmed, visited Caucasus University in Tbilisi, Georgia. During this visit, an MoU and a Student Exchange Agreement were signed to facilitate academic and research cooperation. The partnership will enable student and faculty exchanges across all levels, joint research projects, consultancy activities, participation in academic events, and the exchange of academic materials and resources. The agreement also allows students to enrol in subjects at Caucasus University for credit, enhancing cross-cultural collaboration and academic growth.

The MCBS delegation also visited Business & Technology University (BTU) in Tbilisi, meeting with Chancellor Professor Maia Noniashvili, Head of Entrepreneurship Ms. Mariam Kobiashvili, and Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology Dr. Elene Mamukelashvili. Discussions centred around opportunities for collaboration in innovation, student exchange, joint programs, and research initiatives, with plans to formalize these efforts through a general MoU.

“This partnership reflects MCBS’s vision to create a truly global educational experience for our students,” said Dr. Moosa Al-Kindi, Dean of MCBS. “Through these collaborations, we are equipping our students with the skills, knowledge, and global perspective needed to excel in today’s interconnected world.”

These partnerships underscore MCBS’s proactive approach to building international networks and providing its students with a world-class education, preparing them to lead and innovate on a global scale.
