Muscat: Zubair Enterprises Development Centre (Zubair EDC), a social initiative by The Zubair Corporation, has successfully concluded the empowerment and development programmes under the Azm initiative. Designed to enhance business innovation and marketing skills, the programmes were delivered in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development and Al Jisr Foundation for the first cohort of participants.
As part of its efforts to elevate the Azm brand, the Zubair EDC conducted comprehensive research on the participating entities, including four rehabilitation centres for individuals with special needs. The initiative engaged 17 participants, including stakeholders, in a thorough process of data collection and analysis to identify gaps affecting workflow. This analysis informed a tailored training plan aimed at bridging skills gaps in business and entrepreneurship.
Field visits to the participating rehabilitation centres enabled Zubair EDC consultants to meet with supervisors, caregivers, and service providers. These engagements facilitated the assessment of training needs and the development of a comprehensive entrepreneurship training programme. The module included practical applications of business models for participants, comprising both rehabilitation centre affiliates and entrepreneurs with special needs. Consultants also provided personalised guidance and commercial and marketing consultations to enhance product quality and market readiness.
