Over 160,000 people visit Al Amerat Park

Al Amerat: Muscat Nights at Al Amerat Park in the Muscat Governorate has received a large number of visitors from within and outside the Sultanate. All the visitors enjoyed a variety of entertainment and cultural programmes.

Yasser bin Salim Al Ameri , member of the Main Committee of Muscat Nights Activities and Chairman of Al Amerat Parks Activities Committee, said that the activities held at Al Amerat Park saw the presence of thousands of people due to the different activities that were liked by all age groups.

The number of visitors at Al Amerat Park stood over 160,000 since the start of the activities on 23 December till last Saturday.

The activities organised at the Heritage Village received a large number of visitors, he said, adding that the events included traditional art and games, traditional Omani food, crafts and industries, games and the theatrical activities.

He said that the stage of Al Amerat Park would see in the upcoming days several theatrical performances, entertainment programmes among others including the “Hybrid Show” and the activities in the children cars’ ring.

Every night events at Al Amerat Park include the fireworks and the consumables exhibition, he added.

Marhoon bin Khalifa Al Bassami, owner of the Heritage House at Al Amerat Park, said that the Heritage House receives visitors as it accommodates heritage pieces and tools, some of which date back to over 3000 years coupled with Islamic swords, daggers and shields and Omani tools.

It is worth mentioning that the activities of Muscat Nights which kicked off on 23 December will continue till 1 February
