HM the Sultan issues three Royal Decrees

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued three Royal decrees reading as follows:

Royal Decree No. 46/2025 amends the organizational structure of the Royal Office and appoints a Secretary General.

Article (1) states that the name "The Secretariat General for Military Affairs" in the organizational structure of the Royal Office shall be amended to “The Secretariat General for the Head of Office of the Supreme Commander."

Article (2) appoints Maj.Gen Sulaiman bin Khalid bin Sulaiman Al Zakwani as a Secretary General for the Office of Head of Office of the Supreme Commander.

Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.

Royal Decree No. 47/2025 amends some provisions of Royal Decree No. 10/2021 on appointing a Secretary General at the Ministry of Defence.

Article (1) states that the name "Secretary General at the Ministry of Defence” mentioned in the Royal decree No. 10/2021 shall be amended to “Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence”.

Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.

Royal Decree No. 48/2025 on the promotion to the rank of Major General and appointing a Chairman of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority.

Article (1) promotes Brigadier Sulaiman bin Ali bin Ahmed Al Husseini to the rank of Major General and appoints him as a Chairman of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority.

Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
