Plyos: Two Omani fashion and dress designers Hana bint Said Al Ma’ashani and Asfar bint Hamran Khamis have participated with a number of international designers in the 18th edition of the Fashion Festival, organised in the Russian tourism city of Plyos.
The festival saw a good participation of designers from worldwide. Asfar bint Hamran Khamis, owner of Lecci Fashion Store (Lecci Dhofar), said that her collection at the event is inspired from the Omani heritage.
She said that the designs were made on velvet fabric which is part of the traditional heritage in Dhofar and manually woven.
The collection is developed by introducing the crystal and the Swarovski, while the models wore traditional jewellery made of silver and gold common for the Omani woman.
Hana bint Said Al Ma’ashani said that her new collection titled” International fashion with Omani sprit” displayed the Dhofar dress with modern style that cope with the international fashion.
The GCC designers participation in the festival contributed to boosting the cultural cooperation between Russia and the GCC States.
