Kuwait: Represented by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, the Sultanate of Oman on Wednesday took part in the 10th meeting of assistants to ministers of Islamic/religious affairs in GCC states.
At the meeting, held in Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman was represented by Ahmed Saleh Al Rashdi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.
The meeting discussed the exchange of research and experiences in the field of endowments, the accomplishments made during the “GCC Endowment Week”, proposals to leverage artificial intelligence in Islamic affairs and activities of the “GCC week for the protection of religious and moral values of the family”.
The meeting discussed the significance of exchanging research in the field of endowments and Islamic/religious affairs and the need to share expertise in a manner that would advance relations among GCC states in all fields.
The meeting also looked into a proposal to initiate a national index to assess the impact of endowments on society, a contest titled “Mafaz” for raising awareness about endowments and charitable action and a working paper about measures to address deviant concepts.
The participants discussed the World Endowment Day and the progress made in applying standards for highlighting the true image of Islam and confronting campaigns of hatred, fanaticism, extremism and sectarianism.
