I had a torrid time last night and I suspect the chemicals in my digestion system was working overtime in my stomach.
I tossed and turned trying to get a relief but that did not do any good. As a matter of fact, it got worse. I decided to get out of bed and walked it off. I paced up and down the floor of my bedroom but that did not do any good, either.
So I decided to do the only thing without resorting to screaming and disturb the neighbours. I sat on a chair, crossed my legs and began to let my thoughts loose. My mind drifted to a desert where thousands of camels were wandering aimlessly on the hot sands.
The sweaty animals were no relief to the virtual reality of my mind. I immediately drifted to a green valley under a mountain. Behind tall trees was a river with the clearest water. I watched peacocks with golden tails swooping down from the sky.
They landed on the water with big splashes. They floated aimlessly around as the sunlight reflected on their colourful feathers. That scene in my mind was pleasant enough but my pictures in my mind had to move on further.
I saw waterfalls splashing water from the mountain tops just around the corner where the peacocks were swimming. I could also hear the sound of the waterfalls as they rolled down on the face of the mountain. These self-created images were a calming diversion in my mind as well as my well-being. They worked well and I was ready to get back to bed.
When I woke up in the morning, I tried to recapture what went wrong during the night and how I diverted myself away in a calm way. That brings to mind the power of thoughts when the body appears to be helpless.
We hear a lot about the virtual reality as controlled by electronics devices. These images are programmed by people who want to create scenes that are not natural and devoid from the reality as we know it. We have no control of the virtual reality because they appear to trick our minds as they are created for entertainment.
But if we take a deeper look, we need no headsets or simulators to create our own images when we need to. Our minds have unlimited power to do it. All we have to do is to channels our thoughts in a creative way. It is like floating out from our bodies and see the world in a different perspective. It is our own representation of the world and not a forced one.
It is a mental stage and we don’t need to move an inch while we explore using the power of minds. I know the medical world will contradict me but it works and good for the health. Without moving an inch of our bodies, we can transport ourselves anyway we want.
Is it an escape route from the real world? Yes it is and nothing wrong with it. Our thoughts have many channels and we can put them into a good use for our mental health. Just let your thought go and allow your mind to travel in a moment of a mental conflict.
