Port Sultan Qaboos receives the global cruise ship Mein Schiff 4

Muscat: Port Sultan Qaboos  in Muscat received the global cruise ship Mein Schiff 4, belonging to the German company TUI, carrying 2,386 tourists from various countries around the world, as part of the 2025-2026 cruise season launched by Asyad Ports and Freezones, in cooperation with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism.

This launch comes as part of the cooperation and integration efforts between the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, ASYAD Group, and a number of partners in the public and private sectors, to enhance the Sultanate of Oman’s position on the international maritime tourism map and to make Omani ports a major hub for global cruise lines.

The arrival of the ship represents a promising start to an active tourist season, as Sultan Qaboos Port is expected to see an increase in the number of cruise ships coming to the Sultanate of Oman in the coming months, reflecting its appeal as a distinguished maritime destination in the region.

Maritime tourism is one of the main pillars that the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is working on within its strategy to develop the tourism sector, in cooperation with the Asyad Group and the rest of the partners in the public and private sectors, in line with the objectives of the “Oman 2040” vision aimed at diversifying the national economy and enhancing the elements of tourist attraction.
