
Muscat: The Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit organised the closing ceremony of the Global Quality Week.
This crowned a week of extensive activity that saw the participation of more than 30 government entities which implemented qualitative events and institutional initiatives aimed at spreading the culture of quality, excellence, and innovation in the government work environment. This reinforces the principles of Oman Vision 2040 toward a leading government in performance, efficiency, and competitiveness.
The ceremony was held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Dr. Kamil bin Fahad Al Said, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and attended by Sayyid Dr. Munther bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Deputy Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit.
The ceremony included a visual presentation documenting the activities of Global Quality Week and the participation of government institutions, and a presentation on the Unit's efforts in establishing the culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. It also featured a segment by a group of school students who embodied the presence of quality concepts in the educational scene, reflecting the rising generations' awareness of the importance of quality as a value and behavior that contributes to building a distinguished knowledge society and supporting the path of comprehensive development. The ceremony concluded with the honoring of the entities that presented qualitative initiatives in the fields of quality and institutional excellence.
It is noteworthy that the Global Quality Week celebrations saw 15 government entities implement external events aimed at raising awareness of the importance of quality and spreading the culture of excellence in different work environments. Meanwhile, 15 internal events were carried out by other government entities focused on developing institutional capabilities and motivating employees to adopt quality practices, with a participation that exceeded 1,240 employees and beneficiaries.
