Europcar Bahrain and Oman proudly announce the successful completion of their first Blood Donation Drive in Bahrain, held on October 30th, 2025, at The King Hamad American Mission Hospital in A’Ali. This initiative, organized in partnership with AmCham Bahrain, American Mission Hospital, and YK Almoayyed & Sons, aimed to support a vital community cause that saves lives.
The Blood Donation Drive brought together community members, businesses, and volunteers to donate blood and support this life-saving initiative. A total of 60 individuals registered, with 43 participants successfully donating blood.
Nitin Sapre, CEO of Europcar Bahrain and Oman, emphasized the importance of blood donation, stating, "Blood cannot be manufactured; it comes solely from the generosity of donors. Every donation has the potential to change a life forever.
Supporting our communities is not just a responsibility; it’s a privilege. By encouraging blood donation, we are fostering a culture of giving that can truly make a difference."
Dr. George Cheriyan, CEO and Chief Medical Officer of American Mission Hospital, added, "Donating blood is a generous and safe act that can save lives. It's a common misconception that it’s not good for your health; in reality, our bodies are wonderfully equipped to replenish what is donated, including platelets, which are quickly replaced after donation. I encourage all healthy adults to consider this rewarding opportunity to make a difference."
Qays Hatim Zu’bi, President of AmCham Bahrain, remarked, “The health of our community is a responsibility we all share. We are honored to stand alongside Europcar and American Mission Hospital in this life-saving initiative. It is heartening to see our business community rally together for a cause that truly makes a difference in the lives of individuals and families.”
