Environment Authority plants 800,000 Sidr and Ghaf seeds in Rustaq

Muscat : A campaign to plant about 800,000 seeds of Sidr and Ghaf trees in the Rustaq Wildlife Reserve has been implemented by the Environment Authority in South Al Batinah Governorate.

Environment Authority said in a statement :"The Environment Authority in South Al Batinah Governorate implemented a campaign to plant about 800,000 seeds of Sidr and Ghaf trees in the Rustaq Wildlife Reserve, as part of the national initiative to plant 10 million trees, taking advantage of the recent rainfall which enhances the chances of germination, in order to strengthen the vegetation cover, support biodiversity, and reduce desertification."
