Muscat: Innotech has announced the successful conclusion of the fourth edition of the “Fab Tech Mobile Lab” programme, proudly sponsored by bp Oman and in partnership with the Ministry of Education. This milestone marks a national achievement that reflects the profound impact of technology-driven educational initiatives in empowering students and preparing them for the demands of a digital future.

Building on the programme's continued success, this edition featured a significant advancement in technical content by integrating cutting-edge technologies. The students engaged with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), and the Internet of Things (IoT), alongside core lab technologies like electronics, 3D printing, and laser cutting, ensuring an advanced, hands-on learning experience.

During this edition, the mobile lab expanded its field outreach in Al Dhahirah Governorate, successfully visiting 21 schools. Overall, the programme has reached over 100 schools, delivered 12 specialised training camps, and participated in more than 14 educational events across all its editions. The operational enhancements also allowed the workshop capacity to double, increasing from 6 to 12 students per session. All editions of the programme have successfully trained over 11,000 students, actively contributing to the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 by equipping youth with modern scientific skills.

Eng. Othman bin Maktoum Al Mandhari, Founder and CEO of Innotech, stated: “The Fab Tech Mobile Lab represents a shift in how students engage with technology—from exposure to capability building. By integrating advanced manufacturing tools with emerging technologies such as AI, we are enabling students to think critically, experiment with confidence, and develop solutions with real-world relevance. Our focus goes beyond skills development; we aim to cultivate an innovation-driven mindset that empowers students to create meaningful impact.”

The conclusion of the fourth edition reaffirms the ongoing commitment to developing innovative educational initiatives that prepare a generation capable of keeping pace with rapid technological advancements and contributing to a knowledge-driven, innovation-led future.

Ibrahim Al Hinai, Social Investment Manager at bp Oman, Kuwait, and Qatar, stated: “Our support for the Fab Tech Mobile Lab aligns with Oman Vision 2040 by equipping students with the modern scientific and technological skills necessary to contribute to a knowledge-driven, innovation-led future.”
