Oman participates in ‘Belagro 2026’

Minsk: The Sultanate of Oman is taking part in the 36th edition of “Belagro 2026” International Agricultural and Industrial Exhibition which opened today in Minsk, Republic of Belarus.

The exhibition, which runs until 6 June, coincides with the “Belarusian Agricultural and Industrial Week”.

The Omani pavilion was opened under the auspices of Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources—head of the Omani delegation, in the presence of Hamoud bin Salim Al Tuwaih, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation—Oman’s non-resident to the Republic of Belarus, among other delegates and representatives of companies from Oman.

The pavilion is the outcome of efforts made by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, in cooperation with a number of Omani companies operating in the sector of food security. It showcases a range of high-quality Omani food and marine products. It introduces investment opportunities available in the food sector and services related to export and supply and chains.

Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), underscored the significance of Oman’s participation in “Belagro 2026”. He pointed out that the exhibition offers an opportunity to benefit from the Belarusian expertise and to market Omani products in Belarus.

Al Rawas pointed out that the Sultanate of Oman’s delegation to the international exhibition includes 72 participants from 44 companies and government departments. He expressed the hope that the exhibition would offer opportunities to sign agreements and partnership deals between Omani and Belarusian companies during the Omani-Belarusian Forum.

For his part, Sheikh Shihab bin Hamad Al Balushi, Wali of Dhalkout, said that participation in “Belagro 2026” exhibition provides a good opportunity to learn about the experience of the Republic of Belarus in the field of food security, food industries and the diversification of agricultural products through the use of modern technology in this regard.

Dr. Abdullah bin Masoud Al Harthy, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus to the Sultanate of Oman, said that the participation of the Sultanate of Oman in “Belagro 2026” reflects the keenness of the two countries to support the directives of their respective leaderships to expand economic, commercial and investment cooperation in vital sectors.

Dr. Masoud bin Sulaiman Al Azri, Director General of Agriculture and Fisheries Marketing—official spokesperson for the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, said that the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in “Belagro 2026” affirms the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries.

He expressed the Ministry’s keenness to highlight promising investment opportunities that abound in the food security sector in the Sultanate of Oman.
