
Mirbat: The third edition of the Dhofar International Arabian Horse Beauty Championship, organised by Dhofar Tourism Company, in cooperation with the Office of the Governor of Dhofar and the Oman Equestrian Federation, kicked off on Saturday in the Wilayat of Mirbat in the Governorate of Dhofar.
The tournament was inaugurated by His Highness Sayyid Harib bin Thuwaini Al Said, Advisor at the Royal Court.
The championship, which targets 45 horse owners, is held according to the international standards adopted by the European Conference of Arab Horse Organizations (ECAHO).
His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, affirmed that hosting the championship is an extension of the interest in equestrian sports and Arabian horses as an integral part of the cultural and historical heritage, noting that the championship’s attainment of international classification reflects the capabilities that the governorate enjoys in hosting specialized events.
