SQU students complex catches fire in Oman

Muscat: Firefighters were called to the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) last night after fire engulfed parts of students complex 5, according to the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA).

There were no injuries, as everyone inside was able to get to safety.

SQU assured that the blaze, which took place in a kitchen at a students apartment was extinguished quickly.

"PACDA officials will undergo further investigations to know the reason behind the incident," SQU said on its official Twitter account.
