Month-long food awareness campaign in Oman

Muscat: Food awareness is on the agenda in western Oman.

This week, Dhhira Governate will launch a coordinated campaign between the Municipalities of Wilayats Dhank, Yinqil and Ibri, according to social media posts.

“The campaign is called ‘your sustenance is for safekeeping' and will run from the sixth of August till the month’s end,” said statements by the municipalities

The three opening ceremonies will be held under the patronage of Walis and deputy Walis from the three Wilayats. Dhank began, “at nine thirty on the sixth of August,” and included Quran recitals as well as speeches from the Municipality’s deputy director.

On Monday Yinqil will hold its own ceremony, followed by one in Ibri on Tuesday.
