Oman Cricket: Passage to India, New Media record victories

Muscat: Passage to India (PTI) recorded a 17-run win over Muscat CT in a Muscat Pharmacy and Stores-sponsored Premier Division match at the Ministry of Sports Affairs ground during the evening session on Friday.
Batting first, Passage to India put on 256 for nine in 50 overs. Mohammed Saeed and Zulqarnain Haider scored 60 and 53 runs respectively. Ganesh CN and Badal Singh claimed three wickets each for Muscat CT.
In reply, Muscat CT scored 239 for nine in 50 overs. Sudeep Chavan and Swapnil Khade scored 50 and 52 respectively. Mohammed Bilal claimed five wickets for PTI.

Renaissance lose
In a Khimji Ramdas-sponsored A Division match, New Media posted a thrilling one wicket victory over Renaissance at the Municipality Ground I during the morning session on Friday.
Batting first, Renaissance scored 223 for nine in 30 overs. Jahanzeb Asghar and Sajith Waruna top scored with 60 and 62 respectively. Jagath claimed three wickets for New Media.
In reply, New Media put on 224 for nine in 29.5 overs with Roziro Kamaldeen and Ghazanfar Iqbal scoring 64 and 57 respectively. U.M Asmeer and Faizal Jerome claimed three and four wickets respectively.
Brief scores: Renaissance 223 for 9 in 30 overs (Sajith Waruna 62; Jagath 3/40) lost to New Media 224 for 9 in 29.5 overs (Ghazanfar Iqbal 64; Faizal Jerome 4/32). Points: New Media – 2, Renaissance – 0.
Big win for Al Nahdha
In an Al Ansari Group of Companies-sponsored B Division match, Al Nahdha thumped Fairtrade by 123 runs at the Municipality Ground I during the afternoon session on Friday.
Batting first, Al Nahdha put on 201 for nine in 20 overs. Imran Nasir top scored with 92. Aadil Mohammed claimed three wickets for Fairtrade. In reply, Fair Trade scored 78 all out in 16.1 overs. Babar Malik claimed five wickets for Al Nahdha.

Batting first, Bisya scored 170 for three in 19.3 overs. Irfan Mohammed top scored with 38 runs. Sameer Othman claimed three wickets for OCT Seeb. In reply, OCT Seeb scored 108 for six in 20 overs. Zeeshan claimed three wickets for Bisya.

Batting first, FAP UTSC put on 149 for six in 20 overs. Salim Haider top scored with 39. Ansar Mohammed claimed two wickets each for Al Mardhuf. In reply, Al Mardhuf were bowled out for 130 in 19.1 overs. Vishal Vageria top scored with 26. Shameer K. claimed three wickets for FAP UTSC.
