Muscat: Kuwait Airways introduced special offers with fares slashed up to 45% to select destinations beyond Kuwait. Eventually, the special return fares to Kuwait now starting from OMR72 and to Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam return OMR92 and Cairo return OMR77 and Mumbai, Delhi Ahmedabad returns OMR75 and Trivandrum, Cochin, Chennai, Bengaluru return OMR94 and Colombo return OMR86 and Manila return OMR161. These fares are valid for travel until November 30 provided the tickets are purchased before September 30. Fares are inclusive of taxes; service fees may apply and subject to seat availability.
Further, additional free baggage allowance of 1piece (23kg) is offered to customers travelling in economy class. Passengers travelling in economy class from Muscat will receive 2 pieces of baggage i.e 23kg + 23kg total 46kg as free baggage allowance to all online destinations. This additional free baggage allowance of 2 pieces (46kg) is also offered on the return journey to Muscat. The cost of excess baggage rate is also cut up to 60% allowing more baggage at a less cost.
With effect October 29, Kuwait Airways will be operating daily services to Muscat and all their 7 weekly flights will be operated directly between Kuwait-Muscat-Kuwait.
On Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday and Sunday flight, KU691/692 will depart from Kuwait at 0850hrs and arrive Muscat at 1155hrs and from Muscat, it will depart at 1255hrs and arrive Kuwait at 1415hrs local times. Further, on Thursday /Friday and Saturday flight KU691/692 will depart from Kuwait at 1520hrs and arrive Muscat at 1825hrs and from Muscat, it will depart at 1925hrs and arrive Kuwait at 2040hrs local times. Convenient time of departures is scheduled to cater Omani and Kuwaiti customers to travel during the weekend to/from Kuwait to Muscat.
Kuwait Airways is operating on this route with its new aircraft A320ceo which are equipped with Airbus’s innovate Runway overrun Prevention system (ROPS) technology. This onboard cockpit technology, which Airbus has pioneered independently over several years, increases pilot’s situational awareness during landing, reduces exposure to runway excursion risk, and if necessary, provides active protection. Further, the new aircraft will have 18-inch wide seat standard for unmatched passenger comfort, an extra-wide aisle for faster boarding and highly efficient in-flight service, as well as more space for carry-on baggage. The new aircraft A320ceo are configured with 16Business class and 114 Economy class seats.
The planned daily non-stop flights Muscat to Kuwait during winter will provide good connections beyond Kuwait to the Middle East, India, Subcontinent and Far East destinations. Further, special holiday package is also available to Kuwait and other destinations to promote their daily services from Muscat during the winter season.
Kuwait Airways is providing a special and unique SMS service for customers. Kuwait Airways sends SMS on the registered customer’s mobile phone alerting confirmation of seats, the expiry of ticketing time limit to purchase tickets and any change of timings in the departures of flights booked. The service will keep the passengers informed on the status of their flights and it is available in both English and Arabic.
