95 kg of marijuana seized from man with global drug cartel links

Muscat: One person was arrested in the Wilayat of Seeb on charges of smuggling narcotics for the purpose of trafficking and abusing them, dealing with international gangs.
A Royal Oman Police official said in a statement, "The General Directorate for the Control of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances arrested a person in the area of Al Maabela in the state of Seeb, on charges of smuggling drugs for the purpose of trafficking and dealing with international gangs.
The accused was arrested with 49 bags of cannabis weighing more than 95 kg, and a smaller quantity of morphine. He was referred to the judicial authorities for further investigation.
