Two arrested for theft and assault in Oman

Muscat: Two persons have been arrested on charges of theft and assault in the wilayat of Seeb, Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced.

According to officials, it turned out that the accused had criminal records.

The statement read, “Khoudh Police Station managed to arrest one person on charges of theft and assault.”

An official at ROP said, “The accused assaulted the victim in front of his house and he stole all the cash from him. Then, he fled the scene.

After search and investigation, the accused was arrested along with his accomplice who dropped him at the incident spot.”

The two accused admitted to their crime and it turned out that they had previous criminal records, ROP added.

They have been refered to judicial authorities for further investigation and trail.
