Muscat: Shabab Oman II, the Sultanate's peace and friendship yacht that spreads the message of harmony and unity by visiting different ports around the world, has just left the Saudi Arabian port of Jeddah in the direction of Greece.
According to the Morale Guidance Unit, official media arm of the Ministry of Defence and the Sultan’s Armed Forces , “Shabab Oman II has reached the port of Jeddah with tireless determination and infinite ambition.”
A spokesperson for the vessel itself added, “Shabab Oman II reached the port of Jeddah yesterday, and has left just now in the direction of the port of Rhodes.”
A statement by Shabab Oman II added, “The vessel must first pass through the Suez Canal in the Arab Republic of Egypt, as part of the fourth international voyage ‘Masts of Glory and Peace’.”
The yacht's next destination is likely to be Port Said in Egypt.
