Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Epidemiological Surveillance Department of the Directorate General of Diseases Surveillance & Control (DGDSC) organised yesterday a training workshop to discuss the National Vector Strategy at the Holiday Muscat Hotel.
Dr Mohammed bin Saif Al Hosni, Ministry of Health Undersecretary for Health Affairs inaugurated the training workshop in the presence of Dr Saif Al Abri,Directorate General of Diseases Surveillance & Control Director General along with the directors of the communicable diseases control & surveillance departments over the Sultanate.
The three-day workshop aims to identify the integrated vector management, diseases’ vector and vector-borne diseases, monitoring methods of diseases’ vector, as well as the vector control methods.
The workshop touches upon the Global Vector Control Response 2017-2030 and the National Vector Strategy in the Sultanate.
