Muscat: The Heads of Missions of the Association of the South East Asian Nations Committee in Muscat (ACM), namely, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, called on Nasser bin Muhammed bin Khalifa Al Busaidi, Head of Protocol Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The delegation making the courtesy call on the new protocol chief was headed by the interim chairman of the ACM, Narciso T. Castañeda, Philippine Ambassador to Oman.
Ambassador Sheikh Aflah Suleiman Al Tai, Head of the ASEAN Department, was also present during the interaction.
The courtesy visit was capped by the awarding of an ASEAN token to Al Busaidi by Castañeda, on behalf of the committee in Muscat.
Other who were present in the meeting included, Musthofa Taufik Abdul Latif, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, Dato’ Dr Awang Haji Besar bin Haji Abu Bakar, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam, Muhammad Salim Al Kathiri, Deputy Head of ASEAN Department, Richard Grosse, Consul-General of the Consulate General of Singapore, Mimi Kaur Ramday, Charge d’ Affaires of Malaysia, Nattasuda Mettaprasert and Charge d’Affaires of the Kingdom of Thailand.
Also present was Jassem bin Eid Al Sa’adi, Deputy Head of Protocol Department.
