Over 20 persons arrested for attempting illegal entry into Oman

Muscat: A total of 26 persons have been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), for attempting to enter the Sultanate illegally.

A statement issued online by the ROP said: "Coast Guard police boats stopped a boat with 26 infiltrators on board. They were of different Asian nationalities. The boat was close to Al Aqr Beach in the wilayat of Shinas.Legal procedures against them are completed."
