Muscat: Residents and citizens could face fines of up to OMR1500 for inviting others for participating in gatherings, including weddings and funerals, at places of worship or in public places.
The most important controls for dealing with violators of the decisions of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19 , were previously issued by the Royal Oman Police in Resolution No. 151/2020 and are as follows:
1. OMR200 fine for refusing to be tested for Covid-19.
2. OMR200 fine for breaking home or institutional quarantine.
3. OMR100 fine for participating in public gatherings, including at weddings and funerals, in places of worship or in other public places.
4. OMR300 fine for refusing to wear, removing or destroying the tracking bracelet provided.
