Muscat: Within Tamkeen, one of the key programmes of Dar Al Atta’a Association, a training programme on bandaging (dressing) kicked off on Sunday at Towell Knowledge Institute.
Ten general education certificate holders have been selected by Dar Al Atta’a from the families with limited income who have not received training in the past.
The session will last for six months and includes training in English language and computer.
The programme aims to train youth so that they can assume position of dressers to assist patients who require personal care such as in taking bath, wearing dress and eating food. Some patients have to follow specific treatment plans due to their health conditions.

“The Tamkeen training programme is being executed by Towell Knowledge Institute to provide the participants with the necessary communication skills, work ethics, skills of time management and knowledge about the work they will be entrusted with,“ said Maryam bint Essa Al Zadjali, chairperson of Dar Al Atta’a.
