Massive drug ring busted in Oman, five arrested

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested five persons for possessing narcotic substances with the intention of trafficking and abuse.

A statement issued online by the ROP said: "On charges of possessing narcotic substances with the intention of trafficking and abuse and participating with international gangs, the General Administration for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances arrested five people and seized in their possession 50.11 kilograms of hashish, 13,262 kilograms of crystal drug, 8 kilograms of morphine and 3,906 tablets of psychotropic substances. The legal procedures against them are being completed."
