Attempt to smuggle large quantities of drugs into Oman foiled

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantities of drugs into Oman.

A statement issued online by the ROP said: "North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command, in cooperation with the Coast Guard Police, thwarted an attempt to smuggle large quantities of hashish, crystal drugs and tablets of tramadol and methadone by two infiltrators by sea using a speedboat. Legal procedures against them are being completed."
