Muscat: The second edition of “Oman Civil Defence and Ambulance Conference and Exhibition” kicked off on Monday.
The two-day event, titled “Security and Safety of Establishments” discussed the latest studies and research in the field of security and safety of establishments.
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Lt. Gen. Hassan Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs.
The conference is organised by the Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (ACDA) in cooperation with strategic partners, institutions and companies.
It included a presentation on innovative equipment, services and technologies used in civil defence and ambulance services.
The event is aimed at cutting down the volume of accidents and risks to public safety, to help save lives and properties.
The conference includes three workshops that focus on the following topics: “First aids taught by life skills teachers at educational institutions”, “security and safety measures to be applied by school bus drivers” and “safety procedures to be maintained by those interested in adventure tourism”
